Sports Reporter

Radio Magruder is still looking for a sports reporter. As the sports reporter for Radio Magruder, you will have your own sports mini-show within' our new format change and you will also have your own page on our website. If you would like to fill this position, please comment your email address and name to this post and/or come to the next Radio Magruder meeting, Wednesday, December 22nd after school in B232. Don't worry, we wont publish your comment.

Also, we are looking for a sports photographer. If you like taking pictures and want to see sports from the sidelines, also comment your contact information on this post. As the sports photographer, your pictures will be up on our website.

Our Next Show

Our next show, airing on Wednesday, December 15th during all lunches will be our all requests show. Remember, you have till 7:00 Tuesday night to get your song aired on the next show. If you don't hear your song on this show, remember that we are playing again next week.

The show after that will air on Wednesday, December 22nd during all lunches. Remember, we need wintery requests for that show.

On Air DJs

Currently, Radio Magruder is looking for students who would like to be on-air djs for Radio Magruder during your lunch period. If you would like to fill this position, please go to B232 and pick up the Radio Audition form. If you have any questions or would like to receive an audition form via email, please comment your contact information to this post. Don't worry, we wont publish it.

We now have audition forms! Go to B232 and on the counter directly to your right, you will find a form. When you have the form fully filled out, put it into the folder directly next to the other forms. It's the one with the radio antenna on it. Don't forget to attach EVERYTHING that the form requests.

Our Next Show

We will be airing during all lunches on Wednesday, November 24th. Even though it is a half day, we'll still be playing music, in the form of a shortened show.

Playing Music Online

Would you like to be able to hear Radio Magruder from your home computer. Online, we will be having a different series of shows, theme shows, and we will also have sports shows. Also, we will be able to honor your requests more online then actually on the air in the lunchroom. The one problem is that we need your support to get online. If you would like to see us online, comment so on this post and vote "Yes" on our poll.

Also, tell your friends. The more people we have who comment on this post, the higher the odds are of us going online.

Our Next Show

Our next show will air on Thursday, November 4th during ALL lunches. We will be featuring a great playlist and some other fun new features. This show will be the official start of our "Every Other Wednesday" series of shows, yes, airing every other Wednesday.

Requests

Radio Magruder wants your requests! Go to our "Requests"page and make a request. All requests MUST BE APPROPRIATE. One of our new requests will be played on our new show.

Technichal Difficulties

It has come to our attention that the show did not air properly during today's broadcasts for 5th and 6th periods. We belive this was due to some technical difficulties involving the disk. The disk was damaged and skipped parts of songs and whole songs. From now on we plan to have a backup copy of the disk to prevent these issues from happening again. Thank you for your understanding

Our next show

We are planning to air our first full lunch show on Wednesday, October 20th during all lunches. We will have our new playlist up by late-Thursday, so keep posted. Our first full show will consist of Magruder news (What's Goin' On At Magruder, if you remember) and a short sports clippet. Also, keep your eyes open for a Radio Magruder Reporter at the next home games, because we will be there.

Listeners' Favorite!

We are starting a new feature where YOU get to pick the music. Tell us what your favorite song from the previous show was, and we will play it again in an upcoming show. Look for people asking for your favorite music and your opinions on currently playing music. Both during your lunch and here on the website. Each week we will select the most voted for songs to play during a future show.

If you are going to post "bad" for our poll, please comment on why you thought it was bad on the "comments comments comments" page. If we don't know what is bad about it, then we can't fix it.

When will you hear us next?

Our plan is to start playing every other Wed. during all lunches. Also, we will have shows online, soon, so send in ideas for shows, and also suggestions for the music you want to hear.

Our next meeting

Our next meeting will be on Wed. October 6th after school in B232. Even if it is not mentioned on the MVP Morning show, we will still be meeting, unless otherwise stated. New members are always welcome.

Friday's Show

We are expecting to air our very first show for the 2010-2011 school year this Friday, October 1st. Yes, we know that it is a half day, but we are still going to do it anyways. Keep posted for the exact periods that it will air.

Meetings

If you did not know, we meet every Wednesday, whether or not the morning show airs the add. We meet in B232, and the meetings last until 4:00. After all meetings, activity buses will be present

Plan for our first show

Until we can get permission to air on the web, we will just air during the lunches. We will take a format of playing music, and a few short clip shows, like sports and the news. Our plan is to air in the next two weeks, as of we have the music and are ready to go.

2010-2011 School Year

It's that time again, the beginning of school year. Our first meeting is planned for Wed. September 1st, after school (given buses). We will be meeting in B232. Please, if you are not serious about the club, do not come. Once again, we are hear to get shows aired, not goof around. If you want to be one of our roles (visit roles page), please come to the meeting. New members are alway welcome.

How about next year?

What's going on with Radio Magruder for the school year of 2010-2011? Currently, we are planing to be playing music during all lunches. We don't know how the structure is going to be, whether we have djs or not, be we will be playing music.

Also, we are looking for additional members. If you have an interest in music, we want you. Also, if you are good at art, or good with technology, join the club. Future meeting dates will be posted near next school year.

Yeah, it may not sound like much but 5-6 songs, but we have some specials coming up in the show, like a mini-show about both Magruder news and Colonel's sports.
